5. Amendment of article 330. -
In article 330 of the Constitution, in the Explanation, in the proviso, for the figures "1991", the figures "2001" shall be substituted;[The Constitution (Eighty-seventh Amendment) Act, 2003, amends the Delimitation Act, 2002, and is called the Delimitation (Amendment) Act of 2003. Under this act, electoral constituencies, including the reserved seats for SCs and STs, may be readjusted based on the 2001 population census without altering the number of seats reserved for States in the legislative bodies.
