40. Prohibition of use of heavy vehicle on certain highway.
- Where the highway authority is satisfied that the surface of any highway, or a portion thereof or any bridge, culvert or cause way built on or across any highway is not designed to carry vehicles on which the laden weight exceeds a certain limit it may, subject to such rules as may be prescribed in this behalf, prohibit or restrict the playing of such vehicle on or over such highway of such part of the highway or such bridge culvert or causeway.
