Section 55 in The Assam Frontier (Administration of Justice) Regulation, 1945
55. Imprisonment for debt.
- No person shall be imprisoned for debt, except where the Deputy Commissioner is satisfied that he has made a fraudulent disposition or concealment of property. In such case the debtor may be detained for a period not exceeding six months.
