(2)When a transfer certificate has been lost, a duplicate may be granted by the head teacher on payment of a fine of four annas, but every care must be taken to guard against the possibility of fraud, and the head teacher must obtain sufficient proof of the loss and record the same for the information of the inspecting officer. No duplicate should be issued to a pupil who has been admitted to any other school since the issue of the first certificate. The duplicate certificate must be countersigned by the District Education Officer. The school issuing the certificate will retain the fee.(G. O. no. 847-E.T., dated the 8th December 1916.)
