Section 1(3) in The Police Forces (Restriction Of Rights) Act, 1966
(3)It shall come into force on such date as may be appointed in this behalf by notification in the Official Gazette,(a)in a Union territory, by the Central Government; and(b)in a State, by the Government of that State:Provided that different dates may be appointed by the Central Government for different Union territories.
