(2)If a ryot dies intestate [***] [Words 'in respect of a right of occupancy and' were omitted by section 8 of the Madras Estates Land (Amendment) Act, 1934 (Madras Act VIII of 1934).] without leaving any heirs except the Government, his right of occupancy shall be extinguished but the land in respect of which he had such right of occupancy shall not cease to be ryoti land.
