- The spittoons shall be of the approved designs and either of the following types -(a)a galvanized iron container with a conical funnel-shapped cover. A layer of suitable disinfectant liquid shall always be maintained in the container;(b)a container filled with dry, clean sand, and covered with a layer of suitable thickness of lime or bleaching powder;(c)any other type approved by the Health Officer.
