Section 3(1)(a) in The Indian Forest Service (Initial Recruitment) Regulations, 1966

(a)For selection to the State Cadres,-

(i)the Inspector General of Forests of the Government of India [or such other officer as may be nominated by the Central Government in this behalf] [Inserted by D.P. Notification No. 3/30/70-(ii)-AIS (IV), dated 1st March, 1971 (w.e.f. 6th September, 1969).];

(ii)an officer of the Government of India not below the rank of Joint Secretary;

(iii)the Chief Secretary to the State Government concerned or [a Secretary to that State Government nominated by him;] [Substituted by D.P. Notification No. 3/17/69-(ii)-AIS (IV), dated 6th September, 1969 (w.e.f. 20th September, 1969).]
