Section 35(1) in The Jammu and Kashmir Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1997
(1)Where any commodity is sold by heaps, the approximate weight, measure or number of the commodity contained in each heap shall be conspicuously announced by the seller or his agent, if any, either by word of mouth or by a written notice placed on each heaps :Provided that no such announcement shall be necessary in the case of a heap where the total price of the commodity contained in such heap does not exceed two rupees.
