Alliged Provocative Statements Made By Cine Directors In Favour Of Ltte Chief. on 21 October, 2008

> Title: Alliged provocative statements made by Cine Directors in favour of LTTE Chief.

SHRI J.M. AARON RASHID : Thank you. A few days back the cine artists and directors had taken out a rally, followed by holding a public meeting in Rameswaram in which Director Shri Seeman, Shri Sekaran and Producer Ameer had given provocative speeches in favour of the banned outfit LTTE and accused   * Not recorded the Central Government saying that they were prepared to go to Sri Lanka and they were prepared to even kill Shri Rajapakse; they further accused respected Madam Sonia Ji and praised Rajiv’s killer, the LTTE supremo V. Prabhakaran and asked IB to note that they were ready to face any consequences; they further asked whether the IB would be able to arrest them. They further went on to say that Prabhakaran is their leader, and if IB wants they could arrest them. So, the Government has to ask for the tapes of the above speeches of them. I request the Central Government to take stringent action against these provocative speeches. If it is not done immediately, it would continue everywhere, and the Central Government has to put a full stop through the State Government. Hon. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is also aware of this and he is also taking action. This sort of speeches praising the internationally banned outfit is unwarranted and it should be stopped. US has also banned it. We, the Congressmen are concerned about the Tamilians. The rights of the Tamilians living in Sri Lanka have to be protected. We are against LTTE, the Rajiv’s killers; but we are for the Tamilians living in Sri Lanka. Their rights have to be protected. We thank the Central Government for initiating action in this regard by sending emissary to Sri Lanka and calling the Sri Lankan Ambassador. I request the Central Government to kindly issue suitable direction to the State Government to nab persons who have made provocative and inflammatory speeches, and restore rule of law in the State. Thank you.
