Section 25(2)(a) in The Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Third Grade Municipalities, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006

(a)The deposit made under sub-rule (1) shall, unless forfeited under sub-rules (3) or (4), be returned as soon as practicable after the result of the election is declared;
