Section 39(1) in The Mizo District (Forest) Act, 1955
(1)The extent of area to be allotted for distribution for Jhums, under Section 13 (1) (b) shall be notified by the Village Council in the manner it deems fit and submitted to the District Council and the District Council may issue any direction in this regard.
