Section 236(2) in The U.P. Municipalities Act, 1916
(2)Any expense incurred by a [Municipality] [Substituted by U.P. Act No. 12 of 1994.] by action taken under clause (b) of sub-section (1) shall be recoverable in the manner prescribed by Chapter VI from the person by whom the street was made, structure erected or tree planted.
