Section 623(2) in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(2)When the period as aforesaid has expired and the State Government has considered the objections (if any) under sub-section (1), the State Government may, by notification, extend to such municipality or Government Township or area or to such part thereof specified in such notification all or any of the provisions of this Act, subject to modifications and restrictions (if any) specified therein or subject to such other modifications or restrictions (if any) as the State Government may think fit and specify therein or without any modification or restriction.
