The Coinage of the One Hundred Rupees, Five Rupees and Two Rupees Coined to Commemorate the Occasion of "XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi" Rules, 2010Published vide Notification New Delhi, the 31st August, 2010Ministry of Finance(Department of Economic Affairs)G.S.R. 711(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely :-

1. Short title and commencement.

(1)These rules may be called the Coinage of the One Hundred Rupees, Five Rupees and Two Rupees coined to Commemorate the occasion of "XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi" Rules, 2010.
(2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Standard weight and remedy allowed.

- Standard weight and remedy allowed on coins of certain denominations coined under the provisions of section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) to commemorate the occasion of "XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi" and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below, namely :-Table

One Hundred Rupees 35 Grams 1/500thplus or minus for Silver, that is to say, the Silvercontent may vary from 498 to 502 per 1000 1/100thplus or minus, that is to say, the weight, could varyfrom 34.65 grams to 35.35 grams.
Five Rupees 6 Grams 1/100thplus or minus for Copper and Zinc, that is to say,Copper could vary from 74% to 76% and Zinc from 19% to 21% and1/200thplus or minus for nickeL that is to say nickel could varyfrom 4.5% to 5.5% 1/40thplus or minus that is to say, the weight could varyfrom 5.85 grams to 6.15 grams.
Two Rupees 5.62 1/100thplus or minus for Chromium that is to say, Chromiumcould vary from 16% to 18% 1/25thplus or minus, that is to say, the weight could varyfrom 5.39 grams to 6.24 grams.
