Learned counsel for the State, while referring to the averments taken in the written statement, submits that the result of the present writ petition was directly dependent on the decision of CWP No.14359 of 1994 titled as "Darshan Singh Vs. Financial Commissioner (Appeals) & others", which has been disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to get the petition revived, if necessity arises.

He further submits that in view of the order passed in aforesaid CWP No. 14359 of 1994, the present writ petition also does not survive and may be disposed of as such. He further submits that during the pendency of the proceedings before the authorities below, the land in question was allotted/transferred to Geja Singh, but conveyance deed could not be executed, only because of the order dated 08.01.1996, passed by this Court. He further submits that in view of the above-said factual aspect of the case, Harish Kumar 2013.08.16 09:31 CWP No. 14576 of 2006 -2- the present writ petition may be disposed of and liberty may be granted to get the petition revived, if necessity arises.

In view of the above statement made by learned State counsel and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of as not pressed, at this stage. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to get the present petition revived, if necessity arises.
