(1)The wards in a prison shall be thoroughly swept and cleaned daily.(2)The walls and ceilings of the wards shall be scrapped and whitewashed once a year and those of the hospital twice, or oftener, if necessary. The date of the white-washing shall be shown in distinct figures on the wall of the barracks near the entrance door.
