                                                  ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 i.e., the Director General of Police, Dr.Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore, Chennai-600 004 and The Home Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu, Fort St.George, Chennai-600 009 to provide adequate police security cover/protection permanently to the petitioner based on the representation dated 13.10.2016 given to the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection to provide adequate police security cover/protection permanently to the petitioner based on the representation dated 13.10.2016. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellanous petition is closed.
