Section 24(1) in The Shree Somnath Sanskrit University Act, 2005
(1)The University shall have the following Faculties;(a)Faculty of Sahitya (indluding Vedic study, Sanskrit language and its literature),(b)Faculty of Darshan (Indian Philosophy),(c)Faculty of Indian culture and Fine Arts including tradition of folklore of the State of Gujarat,(d)Faculty of Teachers' training (Shikshak-Prashikshan),(e)Faculty of modern science and ancient shastras such as Dharamshasra, Puranas, Ayurved, Astronomy, Menusctriptology, Epigraphy, Physics and Chemistry,(f)Faculty of a comparative study,(g)Such other Faculties as may be prescribed to meet with the objects and functions of the University.Each faculty shall comprise of such subjects as may be prescribed by the regulations.
