Section 342(1) in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964
(1)Those in possession of Master's Certificate of Competency (Foreign Going) with experience of 2 years as Chief Officer of ships of not less than 2000 tons and those who are Master Pilot in the Hooghly Pilot Service and over 28 years of age may be given 2 years antedated seniority in the rank of Lieutenant.
