960. Investigation as to the origin of the first case.
- In any epidemic it is of the greatest importance to ascertain all the circumstances connected with the appearance of the first case, and a very careful investigation should be made at once in order to discover, if possible, how it originated. Such enquiries, if delayed, are usually unsatisfactory.
