16. Superintendent to visit hospital— Measures to prevent the spread of disease.
- The Superintendent shall visit the jail hospital frequently and cause to be carried into effect, all written directions given by the Medical Officer in regard to the proper segregation of prisoners suffering or believed or suspected to be likely to suffer from any infectious or contagious disease. He shall whenever necessary, and without delay, take all reasonable measures for cleaning and disinfecting every place at any time occupied by any such prisoner or for washing, disinfecting by fumigation or otherwise, or destroying as may be most expedient, all wearing apparel, bedding or other articles which are infected or foul or may be believed or suspected to be infected or foul.
