Section 107(2) in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994
(2)A teacher elected or nominated as a member of the Legislative Assembly or of the Legislative Council of the State, or Parliament shall be entitled to treat the period of his membership of the Legislative Assembly or of the Legislative Council or of Parliament as on leave without salary and allowances.
