Section 16(1) in Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage Act, 1911
(1)On the expiration or other determination of the period of registration, the owner of every hackney carriage shall cause the plate of such hackney carriage to be delivered to the [Deputy Commissioner] [Substituted for the word 'Commissioner' by section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Hackney Carriage (Amendment) Act, 1964 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1964).].
