Section 176(6)(b) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965

(b)Where the Chief Officer refuses permission to construct or reconstruct any building in any area within the regular line of the public street, such area shall, with the approval of be Council, be added to the street and shall thenceforth be deemed part of the public street and shall be vested in the Council;
