54. Power to exempt.
- The Government may, by notification exempt, subject to such conditions and restrictions as they may impose, any class of industrial premises or class of employers or employees from all or any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule made thereunder:Provided that nothing in this section shall be construed as empowering the Government to grant any exemption in respect of any female employee from any of the provisions of this Act or any rules made thereunder relating to the provisions of Chapters IV and V of this Act.
