Section 60 in The Maharashtra Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1962
60. Prosecution to lie at the instance of Commissioner.
(1)A person shall not be proceeded against for an offence under section 58 or section 59 except at the instance of the Commissioner.(2)The Commissioner may, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, either before or after the institution of proceedings compound any such offence.
