CORAM: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE
and
HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY
ORAL JUDGMENT
(Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 24-08-2017 Inter alia contending that in the matter of appointment of Extra Departmental Agents or Gramin Dak Sewak by the Postal Department functioning under the Union of India, various illegalities have been committed and seeking an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation this writ petition has been filed.
Apart from the fact that the matter pertains to appointment to the Central Government Service which is beyond the Patna High Court CWJC No.2696 of 2017 dt.24-08-2017 2/2 jurisdiction of this Court in view of the provisions of the Central Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, with regard to the recruitment in question a Public Interest Litigation is not the proper remedy. However, the petitioner may make a complaint before the Vigilance Authorities of the Union of India to look into the grievance of the petitioner.
With the aforesaid, we find no case for interference into this case. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
