Section 13(1) in The Merchant Shipping (Continuous Discharge Certificate) Rules, 2017
(1)Any request for alteration of the date of birth of a seaman as given in the Continuous Discharge Certificate, shall be allowed to be made by the Shipping Master on production of either certified extract of entries relating to birth from the Municipal or other Register of Births and Deaths;
