Information sought:
Appellant sought information about reasons for not deploying the female Radiographers working in Hindu Rao Hospital not deployed on evening and night duty. He asked that if the matter was security then who secured the female doctors, female nurses, female lab technician as said by the HOD (Radiology), HRH.
PIO's Reply:
Reply was provided by the Appellant as stated by HOD (Radiology),
1. Staff are deployed on duty as per requirement and suitability of job, for the smooth running of the department in public interest
2. As replied in point no.1
3. As regards, comparison other hospital staff like staff nursed, those are primarily females and as they have to be present round the clock hence they have to be posted evening /night and there is no alternante. In X-ray Department, out of 19 X-Ray Technicians, only 2 females are thereon regular basis, hence to make optimum usage of the resources available, we avoid putting these 3 females on evening and night duty. As in regular working hours, there are so many female patients who have to undergo special investigation like Ba Enema, H.S.G etc which require the presence of female radiographers.
4. there is shortage of Radiographer and for the authorities have been apprised time in and again, but till now the shortage has not been filled by the concerned authorities.
