(1)The [State Government] [Substituted by the A. O. 1937, for "G.G. in C.".] may also make rules for the protection of passengers in inland [Mechanically Propelled Vessels] [Substituted by Act 35 of 1977, Section 5, for "steam-veseel" (w.e.f. 1.5.1978).]; and may by such rules require-(a)the prices of passenger tickets to be printed or otherwise denoted on such tickets; and(b)the supply, free of charge, of a sufficient quantity of fresh water for the use of such passengers.
