(3)The State Government may, by notification, divide each Police Sub-Division into two or more Circles, each headed by an officer of the rank of Inspector or Deputy Superintendent of Police:Provided that in the event of a Circle being put under the charge of a Deputy Superintendent, such officer shall report directly to the District Superintendent of Police.
