> Title: The Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways laid the statement regarding status of implementation of the recommendations contained in 19th Report on `Passenger Amenities and Passenger Safety in Indian Railways', pertaining to the Ministry of Railways and 20th Report on Demands for Grants (2013-14), pertaining to the Ministry of Railways.
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI ADHIR CHOWDHURY): I beg to lay the Statement on the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 19th & 20th Reports of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways in pursuance of the Directive 73A, of the Hon. Speaker, Lok Sabha issued vide Lok Sabha Bulletin Part II dated 1st September, 2004.
The 19th Report of the Committee on ‘Passenger Amenities and Passenger Safety in Indian Railways’ presented to the Lok Sabha on 22.04.2013 contained 31 recommendations and Action Taken Notes thereon were furnished to the committee on 14.08.2013 in English version and on 18.09.2013 in Hindi version.
The 20th Report of the Committee on ‘Demands for Grants 2013-14 of Indian Railways’ presented to the Lok Sabha on 22.04.2013 contained 50 recommendations and Action Taken Notes thereon were furnished to the Committee on 29.08.2013 in English version and 18.09.2013 in Hindi version.
Statement showing details of all the recommendations contained in the Reports and implementation status thereof are laid on the Table. Since the statements are voluminous, I request that the same may be taken as read.
