254.
Where the Court does not make any direction to the contrary unexhibited documents, if not returned earlier, shall, at the conclusion of the trial, be returned to the person producing them or his pleader after he has signed the receipt for the same in the proper column on the list. A pleader, when required to do so, is bound to take back any document produced by his client and to sign the receipt referred to above. [G.L. 3/29.]
