Section 16(1) in Himachal Pradesh Home Guards Act, 1968
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained to the contrary in any other law for the time being in force, a member of the Home Guards, shall not be disqualified for being chosen as, and for being, a member of any local authority or legislature merely by reason of the fact that he is a member of the Home Guards.
