(6)To detect, register and take up investigation of offences under the Jammu and Kashmir Forest (Protection) Force Act, 2001, Jammu and Kashmir Forest Act, Samvat 1987 and Jammu and Kashmir Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1978 and under other Acts under which forest officers are empowered to take cognizance of the offences and apprehend the offenders and all other persons and against whom sufficient grounds exist and to remain associated in subsequent legal proceedings in courts connected therewith;
