Section 110(2) in The Indian Electricity Rules, 1956
(2)Adequate number of authorised supervisors and electricians shall be on duty in every mine or oil-field while energy is being used therein.[ Explanation .-For the purposes of this rule, the word "engineer" shall-(a)in the case of a coal mine, have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957;(b)in the case of a metalliferous mine, have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961, and(c)in the case of an oil mine, mean the "Installation Manager" under the Oil Mines Regulations, 1984].]
