Section 93(5)(d) in The Arunachal Pradesh Co-operative Societies Rules, 1984

(d)The distress shall not be excessive, that is to say, the property distrained shall, as nearly as possible, be proportionate to the sum due by the defaulter together with interest and all expenses incidental to the distraint, detention and sale.
