(2)"Forest Officer" means any person whom the [State Government] [Substituted by Section 4 of Rajasthan Act No. 27 of 1957 (Published in Rajasthan Gazette, Part 4-A. Extraordinary dated 13.8.1957).] or any officer empowered by the [State Government] [Substituted by Section 4 of Rajasthan Act No. 27 of 1957 (Published in Rajasthan Gazette, Part 4-A. Extraordinary dated 13.8.1957).] in this behalf may appoint to carry out all or any of the purposes of this Act or to do anything required by this Act or any rule made thereunder to be done by a Forest Officer,
