Section 66(1) in The Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Third Grade Municipalities, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006
(1)Any polling agent may challenge the identity of a person claiming to be a particular elector by first depositing a sum of ten rupees in cash with the Presiding Officer for each such challenge.
