Section 53(1) in The Nalanda Open University Act, 1995
(1)Every salaried officer of the University and every teacher employed in a University Department other than officers and teachers who are members of the publish services in India and whose services have been lent to the University under clause (i) of sub-section (2), shall be appointed on a written contract which shall be lodged with the Registrar of the University and a copy thereof shall be furnished to the officer or teacher concerned. Every teacher of the University shall in the absence of any agreement to the contrary, be governed by the conditions and restrictions as specified in the Statutes.
