(b)Upper Yardmen of the Executive and Supply and Secretariat Branches.-3 months educational course followed by a course of approximately 12 months (that is to say, 3 terms of 15 weeks each plus annual leave, and the like). The candidates of the Executive Branch selected to undergo the course shall be rated Acting Leading Seaman or equivalent while those of Supply and Secretariat Branch shall be [ranked] [Substitued by S.R.O. 192, dated 10th September, 1973] Acting Leading Writer or Acting Leading Stores Assistant, if not already holding these or higher [ranks] [Substitued by S.R.O. 192, dated 10th September, 1973], from the first day of the month in which the course begins.
