(a)the Bengal Municipal Act [1932] [Figures substituted by Ben. Act 1 of 1939.], or the Bengal Local Self-Government Act of 1885, as the case may be, or the corresponding portion of such Act, as the case may be, if in force in such area, shall be deemed to be repealed therein, and
