- No Master of sea-going vessel shall, from the 1st day of April to the 31st day of October inclusive, employ, or cause to be employed, between the hours of 9.A.M. and 4 P.M. any European seaman or apprentice for the purpose of cleaning or painting the vessel that necessitates the direct exposure of such seaman or apprentice to the rays of the sun.Section II
