Section 37 in The Gauhati University Act, 1947

37. Annual contribution from Government.

- the Government shall, for the purpose of this Act, contribute annually to the University a sum of not less than forty lakhs of rupees to meet the recurring charges of the University. All contributions made under this section shall be charged to the revenues of the State.
