(1)Every Officer and sailor shall hold office during the pleasure of the President.(2)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the regulations made thereunder,—(a)the Central Government may dismiss or discharge or retire from the naval service any officer or sailor;(b)the Chief of the Naval Staff or any prescribed officer may dismiss or discharge from the naval service any sailor.
