(2)Where a licensed dealer has cut a standard gold bar and has transferred or delivered a part thereof to a certified goldsmith or an artisan for the purposes specified in Section 35, he may, notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), have in his possession or custody the remnant of such bar which is left with him, and in computing the quantities specified in the first proviso to sub-section (1), such remnant be excluded.] [Substituted by Act 26 of 1969.]
