(2)No suit or other proceedings to which any [Gram Panchayat] [Substituted 'Gram Sabha' by U.P. Act No. 4 of 2016, dated 11.3.2016.] is a party shall be compromised or withdrawn on behalf of such [Gram Panchayat] [Substituted 'Gram Sabha' by U.P. Act No. 4 of 2016, dated 11.3.2016.], unless such compromise or withdrawal is approved by' a resolution of the Bhumi Prabandhak Samiti and prior sanction of the Sub-Divisional Officer is obtained.
