JUDGMENT
Petitioner's land was acquired for Tehri Dam Project. He was paid compensation for the land so acquired and he was also allotted agricultural land in Village Pathri, District Haridwar. By means of this writ petition, petitioner wants the land, which was allotted to him in Village Pathri, to be exchanged with land situate in Roshnabad, District Haridwar. The reason for seeking such exchange of land is a Barsati Nala, which is next to the land allotted to the petitioner.
2. Since petitioner has been rehabilitated by allotting alternate land at Village Pathri and he has also been paid compensation for the land acquired for Tehri Dam Project, therefore, in the humble opinion of 2 this Court, petitioner is not entitled to any such relief. The reason for seeking such exchange of land is not far to see, as Roshnabad is in the heart of the city; while, Pathri is a remote Village, therefore, petitioner wants land allotted at a place, where it may fetch higher price.
3. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and is dismissed.
