Section 90(2) in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994
(2)The Vice-Chancellor shall cause every university department or institution, affiliated college or recognised institution to be inspected, at least once in every three years, by one or more committees appointed by him in that behalf which shall consist of the following members, namely:-(a)the Director, Board of College and University Development or a Dean nominated by the Vice-Chancellor - Chairman;(b)one expert, not connected with the university, nominated by the Academic Council;(c)one expert, to be nominated by the Management Council;(d)[ one expert, to be nominated by the Senate:] [This clause was added by Maharashtra 55 of 2000, section 53(a)]Provided that, no member on such committee shall be connected with the management of college or the institution concerned.
